Grateful to be here

Arrived at Eagle's Nest yesterday - it is so
                                                              wonderful to be back!!

Last year I was fortunate enough to be able to help parent the older boys while their house parents where on vacation.  This year I am doing the same with the older girls and look forward to extra time with them.  Chores are split, they help or cook the meals, do their own laundry, and are preparing for school to start Monday.  I threw together a pot of chicken noodle soup today - hopefully they will like it.

As the kids in the home get older the goal is to have them in family environment with House Parents so they can learn responsibilities of becoming an adult.

This year they will be attending a school that will help teach them a trade or skill so that when they turn 18 and leave the home they will be able to make income.  Some of them may choose to further their education and if so we will encourage and assist in that.  Eagle's Nest has been a home to them for years and they have a strong foundation of love for the Lord and I am so grateful for that.

I was able to love and play with the babies today and then taught an exercise class to the older kids.  It is pretty chilly with the wind on top of this mountain so we had to keep moving to stay warm.

I appreciate the love, support, encouragement, and prayers as I continue to serve here at Eagle's Nest.
As always it is impossible to put into words my thankfulness.

Pictures will be posted on Facebook - it is very time consuming to get them on this blog - they have changed format.

Blessings,

Denise
